Free DVDs from Fair-Exchange.com!

If you are like me you will certainly be dubious of most things which offer you something for nothing. The word 'free' is used too much these days and more often than not the product / service is not actually free. The greatest abuse of this is on the world's favourite media. The Internet.
For this reason, it makes a pleasant change to find a website which does not lie or trick you into anything. The http://www.free-dvd-club.com/ website offers (get ready for the surprise) DVD's for free. The web site is run by the same people who successfully run the competition site http://www.fair-exchange.com/ and this is not any different.
The web site is simple to view and extremely user friendly. It spends less time filling the page with unnecessary gumpf and more time being clear, concise and to the point. The site navigation is clearly highlighted and answers all the questions you may have.
So what is the catch? Well, there simply isn't one. If you want to get your free DVDs then you have to fill in a survey. The reason is that as I mentioned before the website is run by the same people who run http://www.fair-exchange.com/ and their method of earning money is no different. In this case you answer surveys to get DVD's, at http://www.fair-exchange.com/ you answer surveys to get entered into competitions. It’s not the hardest way to earn a free DVD!
The survey is not long. It will take you five minutes, ten at the most. A lot of the questions ask you about products that you may be interested in, but you are in total control. If you do not wish to answer a question, you don't have to. The survey totals 12 pages and despite that sounding a lot it really is a breeze. The layout of the questions and answer fields are easy to follow and certainly will not cause any one any problems.
Now at this point you would have chosen your DVD and the site would confirm its despatch. However for the purpose of my blog, and your informative guide, I have left the actual DVD's to last. The reason for this is simple. The DVDs are all anyone is interested in, and all that anyone would bother filling the survey in for. So what does http://www.free-dvd-club.com/ offer us? The answer is not as bad as it sounds, but it’s not quite what was expected. The DVDs on offer are akin to those you find free with DVD players, in the bargain bucket at computer fairs or floundering about the 'Two for £3' section of Morrisons. As I said though, don't be too judgemental. The website is new and no doubt getting deals signed with companies in order to bring bigger and better titles to you. I personally opted for the animated Batman DVD for my son. After all, it is free including delivery.
The variety of DVDs offers something for everyone. Donnie Darko is possibly the most famous, with Last Orders being the newest. The key to the website is people signing up. With more members there will be better DVDs and far more to choose from. Let's all hope that not everyone opts for 'Rail Around' though............

Summary: Good idea with a brilliant hook. If the DVD selection is more contemporary and more varied there is no reason why this cannot be the next 'LoveFilm' styled site.
